Drunk Pelican Orchid?

I had an assignment to photograph orchids for a Gaston Gazette 'In Focus' photo page last week at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. They're getting ready for their upcoming 'Orchid Spectacular' and they let me go behind the scenes to their greenhouses to shoot some of the flowers that will be on display (below). I think this flower (above) looks sort of like a drunk pelican wearing a hat and a big smile. Do you see it?

Junkyard Dogs

I spotted these two mischievous, I almost want to say demented looking, dogs while taking pictures at a home where police ar investigating the deaths of a number of dogs found dead at a home on Mitchem Road near Ranlo on Thursday October 13, 2011.

Funny Look

I had to shoot a bunch of headshots on my last day at the Telegram. I thought this guy had an interesting face, and he's certainly giving me an interesting look.

Yorick Bites!
